Ecovacs GOAT O600 RTK
Price and specs checked
Our take
Fits 4 of our 8 typical lawns, the cheapest fit in 4
The cheapest mower we list by $400: $1,099 at Ecovacs's own store, down from $1,299, for up to 600 m² of lawn. For a small, open yard with a clear view of the sky, little else comes close on price.
Pick another if your lawn looks like one of these: 700 m² sloping block, 40%; 800 m² steep block, 60%; 1,500 m² large block, two lawns; and 1 more.

Good for
Courtyards and compact front-and-back yards. The RTK reference station is in the box, so there's no extra hardware to buy, and a camera works beside the satellite fix to pick out obstacles. Ecovacs's map editor can split a yard into separate areas, merge them or delete them.
Watch out for
RTK depends on open sky: the reference station has to go where it can see the satellites, and Ecovacs's manual puts its reach at a hundred and forty metres. The Australian warranty page gives GOAT mowers only the base one-year term, and Ecovacs lists no 4G option, so the app reaches it only within Wi-Fi range.
Living with it
Treat the rated area as a ceiling. A lawn close to 600 m² will keep it busy most days in spring, and anything bigger is a job for Ecovacs's GOAT A2000 at 2,000 m².
The European manual linked from the Australian page lists a rain sensor and a PIN you set at first start-up, which Ecovacs says stops the mower being stolen or run by children. It cuts 190 mm wide at 30–80 mm. A garage costs extra.
