Mammotion YUKA mini 2 1000

Price and specs checked

Our take

Fits 5 of our 8 typical lawns

The cheapest Mammotion we list, and the cheapest mower here that pairs LiDAR with cameras instead of relying on satellites: $2,299 for 1,000 m² of lawn, with no wire to bury and no RTK station to mount. Against eufy's E15 it costs less and is rated for more grass.

Pick another if your lawn looks like one of these: 800 m² steep block, 60%; 1,500 m² large block, two lawns; 3,000 m² acreage lawn.

Good for

Front-and-back yards joined by a path, and gardens under trees, where a satellite-only mower can lose its place. Mammotion lets you give each of up to 10 separate zones its own mowing schedule, and a built-in rain sensor watches for wet weather.

Watch out for

It drives through the rear wheels and Mammotion rates it for 45%, so a really steep bank belongs to the all-wheel-drive LUBA mini 2 at 80%. Mammotion's anti-theft tracking needs the optional 4G module, and its store showed that module sold out on the day we checked.

Living with it

Mammotion quotes roughly a quarter of the rated lawn per battery charge, so covering a full-sized yard takes several trips back to the station. Out of the box it connects over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth only; 4G needs Mammotion's optional module, which its store showed as sold out, so check your Wi-Fi reaches the back of the lawn.

The deck cuts a 190 mm strip at 20–60 mm, and Mammotion's warranty runs 3 years. One quirk on the store page: the spec table lists 4G as standard while the FAQ calls it an extra, and the box list doesn't include it.
