Pick the Omni E28 instead if your floors are hard on more than one level, or you'd use a portable cleaner. eufy says the E28 maps 5 floors, and its dock holds a detachable deep cleaner for carpet spots and upholstery.

Both scrub with a roller, rinse it in the dock, dry it with warm air, add detergent themselves and steer by camera. The X8 Max Pro Omni costs $874 against $1,999.95, Ecovacs rates it for 252 minutes, and it lifts its roller 10 mm over rugs. eufy says the E28's roller lifts too, but gives no height.
Pick the Deebot X8 Max Pro Omni if
you have rugs. Its published lift clears our rug rule, so it fits every single-storey home in our matcher that the E28 does, and several more.

In practice
Without a lift height the E28 can't pass any of our rug cases, which leaves it fitting hard-floor homes only. There it is one of the few camera robots whose maker states a map count, so it fits our two-storey townhouse where the Ecovacs can't.
Each comes with a 1 year warranty from its maker. Ecovacs lists the X8 Max Pro Omni in place of the X8 Pro Omni, which was sold out when we checked, and its bag is rated for 90 days against eufy's 75 days.
