Ecovacs Deebot X8 Max Pro Omni
Price and specs checked
Our take
Fits 7 of our 12 typical homes
For $62 more than Ecovacs's T80 Omni, at $874, this adds automatic detergent and a dust bag rated for 90 days. It fits exactly the homes the T80 fits, so in our matcher it always lands second behind its cheaper sibling.
Pick another if your home looks like one of these: 200 m² two-storey, carpet, a pet; 250 m² two-storey, rugs, heavy shedders; 120 m² house, mostly carpet, no pets; and 2 more.

Good for
Owners who want the T80's roller and camera but less refilling. The dock doses cleaning solution on its own and dries the roller with hotter air than the T80's, Ecovacs says. Its roller spins faster too, and a lift system raises the brushes as well as the mop when it meets a spill.
Watch out for
It claims less suction than the T80 (16,600 Pa) and a shorter run, 252 minutes. Ecovacs's spec table and its marketing disagree on which anti-tangle version it has. There's no published map count, and like every roller here it can't detach for carpet.
Living with it
We list it because the X8 Pro Omni was out of stock on Ecovacs's Australian store; this Max version was in stock at about a third of its listed $2,599. Ecovacs also offered a coupon code we haven't applied. The warranty page doesn't name this model among its longer terms, so the base one-year cover applies unless Ecovacs says otherwise.
