eufy Omni E28

Our take
Fits 4 of our 12 typical homes
The E28 comes with a detachable spot cleaner for carpet and upholstery, which makes it more than a robot vacuum. At $1,999.95 it fits our hard-floor homes, with or without pets, but none with rugs, because eufy publishes no figure for how far its roller lifts.
Pick another if your home looks like one of these: 80 m² flat, rugs, a pet; 150 m² house, rugs, no pets; 150 m² house, rugs, a pet; and 5 more.

Good for
Tiled or timber homes with pets, including big ones: it has a camera, detangling brushes, 216 minutes of vacuum-only running and maps for 5 floors. Its roller presses down hard as it mops, eufy says, and the dock adds detergent and dries the roller with warm air.
Watch out for
eufy says the roller lifts for carpet but never says how far, so our matcher can't confirm it keeps a rug dry. eufy's own FAQ tells owners to fence off thick carpet in the app. Mopping cuts its run time sharply: eufy quotes 216 minutes vacuuming only, and much less with the mop working. It costs $1,187.95 more than the Ecovacs T80 Omni, which does publish a lift.
Living with it
The dust bag lasts up to 75 days on eufy's US figure. Members get a discount on eufy's store, which we don't apply. The warranty is 1 year, the base term eufy gives all its robot vacuums.
