Ecovacs GOAT A2000 LiDAR Pro
Price and specs checked
Our take
Fits 6 of our 8 typical lawns, the cheapest fit in 1
The cheapest mower we list rated for both 2,000 m² and a 50% slope: $2,999 for LiDAR and camera navigation that Ecovacs says needs no wire, no reference station and no full manual mapping. It also carries its own edge trimmer.
Pick another if your lawn looks like one of these: 800 m² steep block, 60%; 3,000 m² acreage lawn.

Good for
Larger suburban and semi-rural lawns with trees, where LiDAR and a camera keep it placed when satellite fixes drop out. Its 330 mm cut is wider than any mower here apart from Mammotion's LUBA 3, and Ecovacs rates it to cross barriers four centimetres high.
Watch out for
Ecovacs Australia gives it one year of warranty, where most rivals offer two or three. The rain sensor, PIN lock and box contents are documented in the US manual linked from the Australian page rather than on the page itself, and the garage is a separate purchase.
Living with it
The trimmer module rides on the mower for edges along walls and fences, and Ecovacs packs spare trimmer line in the box. The cutting height reaches 30–90 mm, a taller top setting than Mammotion's LUBA 3 at 25–70 mm.
For a back fence beyond Wi-Fi, the manual shows a slot for an optional 4G connection module with a SIM; Ecovacs's Australian site publishes no price or plan for it. The app connects over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth otherwise.
