Ecovacs Deebot T80 Omni
Price and specs checked
Our take
Fits 7 of our 12 typical homes, the cheapest fit in 4
The robot our matcher picks most often. At $812 it is the cheapest fit in four of our typical homes, including every pet home that sits on one level and isn't mostly carpet, because it is the cheapest robot we list with an obstacle camera.
Pick another if your home looks like one of these: 200 m² two-storey, carpet, a pet; 250 m² two-storey, rugs, heavy shedders; 120 m² house, mostly carpet, no pets; and 2 more.

Good for
Pets on rugs or hard floors. Its ZeroTangle main brush, self-emptying dock and AIVI camera tick every pet requirement we set, its roller lifts 10 mm for rugs, and Ecovacs publishes 297 minutes of run time, the longest of any robot here with a washing dock.
Watch out for
Ecovacs publishes no map count, so two-storey homes miss out, and the roller can't come off for a carpeted house. There's no automatic detergent. Ecovacs's Australian warranty page doesn't list the T80 among its longer terms, so expect the base term unless the store says otherwise.
Living with it
Ecovacs's OZMO Roller is scraped clean as it turns and pushes out to the wall at edges. The dock washes it in water that tops out at 75 °C and blows warm air over it afterwards. At almost five kilograms, it is one of the heavier robots to carry.
The price is a sale against a listed $2,299, and Ecovacs also showed a coupon code; we quote it before codes. Its sibling, the X8 Max Pro Omni, costs $62 more.
