Roborock Saros 10R

Price and specs checked

Our take

Fits 7 of our 12 typical homes, the cheapest fit in 1

The cheapest robot we list that leaves its mops at the dock before it touches carpet, at $1,449 from Roborock Store ANZ, half the $2,899 it shows as the usual price. With no laser turret on top it stands 79.8 mm tall.

Pick another if your home looks like one of these: 200 m² two-storey, carpet, a pet; 250 m² two-storey, rugs, heavy shedders; 140 m² two-storey townhouse, hard floors; and 2 more.

Good for

Homes that mix hard floors with plush rugs or carpeted bedrooms. Because the pads come off rather than just lifting, a damp mop never brushes the pile, and Roborock still lifts the mop module up to 22 mm when the chassis rises over a rug edge. Its RGB camera is there to recognise what an obstacle is, not just that something is in the way.

Watch out for

Roborock doesn't say how many floor maps it keeps, so in our matcher it can't confirm a two-storey home. Its own pages also disagree on mop lift: the comparison table gives a lower figure. The sale price is the store's, and it may not last.

Living with it

Day to day the dock does the chores: it empties the bin into a bag Roborock rates for up to 70 days, washes the pads in 80 °C water and dries them with warm air. You refill the clean-water tank and tip out the dirty one: neither Australian store sells the plumbed version Roborock offers elsewhere.

The low body matters more than the suction figure. At 79.8 mm it reaches under furniture that stops the turret-topped Qrevo C Pro at 96.5 mm, and it crosses double thresholds up to 40 mm on Roborock's figure.
